Carrie Caldarera grew up in League City, Texas. She is the daughter of two public school educators. After graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in art and illustration she decided to take her education outside the classroom walls and purchased an around the world plane ticket. She has lived and worked in London, Scotland, Australia, Thailand, and Hawaii. Carrie has traveled to well over twenty different countries and has many more on her bucket list. The international experience opened her mind to all types of people and shaped who she has become today. After working in a variety of jobs around the globe Carrie realized she could share her passion of art and cultures with students of all ages. Carrie has been a public art educator for over ten years and loves the creativity teaching allows. Carrie enjoys trying new things from taking cooking classes to creating fused glass artwork. Some of her favorite things include; lazy rivers, live theater, local festivals, campfires, beach houses, Christmas lights, a good book, and looking forward to an upcoming trip. Carrie is currently the art educator at Marcus High School 9th grade campus.
