Emilie Casper is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University where she studied vocal performance and theater. She also participated in Texas Woman’s University Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Opera Ensemble. Prior to attending Texas Woman’s University, Emilie attended school at Tyler Junior College where she also studied vocal performance. She was heavily involved in the Tyler Junior College Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Show Choir where she was a section leader for both classical choirs as well as section leader, choreographer/dance captain, and choir president for the Tyler Junior College show choir. She began her musical career at five years old when she began taking piano lessons from Donna Calloway. At the age of fifteen, she began taking voice lessons from Jeanie Oxler. Emilie began teaching piano and music theory in 2014 and began teaching voice lessons in 2017. In addition to her musical background, Emilie has also studied ballet, tap, and jazz for seventeen years. She took dance classes as well as performed in recitals, competed in several dance competitions, and regularly attended the Dallas Ballet Center summer intensive program. Emilie also has an extensive theater background. She has played several lead roles through Tyler Junior College, Tyler Civic Theater, and The Artisan Center Theater. Emilie prioritizes teaching solid technique and ensuring students find joy in making music. Her goal is to spread the love of Christ to each and every student and to make sure they are discovering the beauty and power of the arts along the way.
