Summer Group Classes This summer we will be offering a 5 week summer session.
Classes will take place on the following weeks: June 20, June 27, July 11, July 25, August 2.
Price for 5 group classes: $65 (45 minute class), $75 (1 hour class)
Summer Group Classes
Theatre Classes Intro to Acting (Ages 5 to 9), Tuesday, 11:00 to 12:00 Intro to Acting (Ages 10 and up), Tuesday 12:15 to 1:15 Advance Acting (invitation only), Tuesday 1:30 to 2:30 Come learn the basics of acting. We will be working on diction, how to create colorful characters, stage movement and more! This is a great class to improve your acting skills. Our older students will be diving into scripts and performing monologues!
Improv Class (Ages 10 and up), Monday, 2:00 to 3:00 This is a super fun class where students can learn to create thoughtful, entertaining improvised scenes, and use their imaginations.Skills like public speaking, working as part of a team, quickly thinking and reacting to the unexpected, and the ability to be outgoing and make conversation with new people are built into games and exercises rooted in play. This environment is meant to nurture children's natural creativity and give them a safe space to try a completely new art form where they can safely fail as they learn without consequence.
Summer and Shakespeare (Ages 6 to 10), Wednesday, 11:00 to 12:00 "Romeo, where for art thou, Romeo?" Students will be introduced to Shakespeare’s stories through creative play, theatre games and art projects. This will be fun, interactive class that will awaken your young thespian.
Summer and Shakespeare (Ages 11 and up), Wednesday, 12:15 to 1:15 Students prepare for success in middle school and high school and beyond by training in the craft of acting, text analysis and armed stage combat focusing on rapier and broadsword. Students will learn Shakespeare dialect and how to speak with passion and energy. Don't miss out on this class!
Dance Classes PreK Dance Combo (Ages 3 to 5), Tuesday, 11:00 to 11:45 This is a 45 minute class that introduces the fun of dance to the student. The class consists of 15 minutes of tap, 15 minutes of ballet, and 15 minutes of tumbling/jazz. The main goal is for the student to love movement. We use several props and themes to keep these "little ballerinas" engaged in dancing.
Ballet/Jazz (Ages 5 to 9), Thursday, 12:30 to 1:15 Ballet/Jazz (10 and up), Monday, 3:00 to 4:00 This class is offered to ages 5 through adult and is 1 hr. in length. Ballet is the basis of all other dance forms. It teaches students grace as well as being a great work out!!! This class is strongly recommended for students in this age group. Our classes are based on classical ballet technique but also have times for self expression and creativity. In jazz students develop turning, leaping and center combination skills.
Tap (Ages 5 to 9), Thursday, 11:45 to 12:30 Tap (Ages 10 and up), Monday, 4:00 to 5:00 This class is offered to ages 5-18 yrs. and is 1 hr. in length. Our classes are rhythm tap and lots of fun for those who want to use their feet to make music.
