Jennifer Shelby started with The LAC as a volunteer working on costumes in the spring of 2018 when her youngest son saw the LAC's 1st semester performance and decided he wanted to be a part of it! She soon joined the LAC staff, currently serving as LAC Administrator and CenterStage Camp Administrator. She also works at Liberty Christian School as the Fine Arts Assistant Director where she serves alongside the Fine Arts team, supporting their departments through her administrative gifting. She, along with her husband, John, run the Shelby Realty Group, brokered by REAL, a real estate business that has been serving the local community since 2017.
Besides teaching her sweet LAC Art students on Tuesday nights and painting theatre sets at both her jobs, she loves spending her spare time serving and investing in the youth through worship, music and discipleship. She has been a part of the Worship Arts Ministry at Valley Ridge Church (the First Baptist Church of Lewisville) since 2012; singing in the adult choir, teaching in children’s choir and serving as a leader with the student choirs. She also served on staff in the FBCL Worship Arts Ministry from 2016 to 2020, when she felt the Lord calling her to step away from the corporate world of Human Resources to serve on a ministry team. She currently serves in the Valley Ridge Church (FBCL) Student Ministry as a small group leader during Sunday Morning Bible Study and as a BIONIC (Believe It Or Not I Care Leader) in the Valley Ridge Church Student Choir.
She and her husband have 3+ children that she adores; her oldest son, John Blaise, her daughter-in-love, Miranda (and 2 precious grandchildren), her daughter, Jordan, and youngest son, Jayden.
"We have this HOPE as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf." Hebrews 6:19-20
